Stephen Watt

STEPHEN WATT is Provost Professor of English and Associate Dean for the School of Art and Design in the College of Arts and Sciences at Indiana University, where he teaches courses on Irish and Northern Irish culture and on nineteenth and twentieth-century literature.  He has written on topics ranging from graduate education in the Humanities to the politics of James Bond and the psychology of zombies.   His books include “SomethingDreadful and Grand”: American Literature and the Irish-Jewish Unconscious (Oxford University Press, 2015), Beckett and Contemporary Irish Writing (Cambridge University Press, 2009) and Joyce, O’Casey, and the Irish Popular Theater (Syracuse University Press 1991).
