Welcome to the new issue of the Honest Ulsterman, my first as editor. It's been a very enjoyable experience.There are also quite big shoes to fill. I'm well aware of the HU's history and hopefully this issue does it justice. I'm very pleased with it. There's an eclecticism that was always a healthy part of the HU and we're continuing in that tradition. Aware of our history but not trapped by it. Open minds are needed more than ever these days. We want you to take whatever message you choose from the work in this issue; offer you paths rather than preach at you. Revelation rather than revolution. We'd like to thank everyone that contributed to this issue and to everyone that submitted material. Remember if you aren't in this issue it doesn't mean you won't be in the next. The open submission element will continue to be an important part of the magazine as it helps to keep it vital and fresh. The next issue will be out in June.
