Raffaella Sero was born and raised in Calabria, which is the furthest south you can go on the Italian peninsula without falling into the Mediterranean. She has contributed to several publications, including TheOxford Review of Books and Cunning Folk. Her co-written one-woman play, The Other, will open at the Drayton Arms Theatre in London in March 2022. When not busy polishing her novel or ecstatically stomping around a rehearsal room, she can be found in the library of Newnham College, Cambridge, panicking over her PhD thesis.
