Miles Murphy is a post-graduate student in Irish Studies attending Queen’s University in Belfast and a graduate of Concordia University’s School of Irish Studies in Montreal. He grew up in Winnipeg, a land-locked island in the middle of the Canadian prairies. His chequered career has included everything from accounting clerk to prospector. He has lived in Toronto, Halifax, Vancouver, Montreal, and Whitehorse, Yukon, as well, as for a short time in Dundalk, Ireland. His writing interests have encompassed short fiction, blank verse, Buddhist practice and James Joyce.
