Lorraine Carey

Lorraine Carey’s from Greencastle, Donegal now living in Kerry. Her poems are widely anthologised and published in Prole, Poetry Ireland Review, Orbis, Rust+Moth, The High Window, One Hand Clapping, The Stony Thursday Book, One, Atrium, Abridged, Poetry Birmingham, Ink Sweat & Tears, on Poethead and othersA previous winner and runner up of The Charles Macklin Poetry Prize, her work has been placed and shortlisted in many competitions including The Bridport PrizeListowel Writers’ Week, The Blue Nib Chapbook Competition and The Allingham Poetry Prize. Longlisted in The National Poetry Competition 2019, she was a recent prize winner in the Trocaire Poetry Ireland Competition and has work forthcoming in Howl, Allium and Magma.
