Colin Hassard is a poet from Belfast. He was Runner Up in the Seamus Heaney Award for New Writing 2018 and short-listed for the 2019 Aurivo North West Words Poetry Competition. As well as being an award-winning slam poet, Colin has regularly written commissioned poems for BBC NI and has performed on Sky One. In 2018, Colin released an album with his spoken-word jazz-rock band Dirty Words which received international airplay and led to the band supporting Duke Special. Colin is currently developing his first collection of poems with support from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
