Chris Fitzpatrick is a medical consultant working in Dublin. He has published short stories and poetry in the past and has been involved in a number of artistic and historic commemorative events relating to the 1916 Easter Rising and the Great War. ‘Dining Alone’ is both a stand-alone short story and a chapter from a novel in progress based on the life of Patrick Pearse - ‘Portrait of the Artist as Martyr’. ‘Heart of Darkness’ - another chapter from the same novel was published in the February 2018 edition of the Honest Ulsterman.
