A.J. Britz grew up in West Cork and currently lives in Saint Paul, Minnesota where he teaches English Literature and Composition at one of the local universities. In 2005, he was awarded the Listowel Writers’ Week Award in Poetry (under 18 category) and in 2012 received the Emerging Writer Award in Poetry from the University of Chicago. A.J. is also the recipient of a Truman Capote Fellowship from the University of Alabama where he took his MFA and hopes to publish a collection of his short stories in the near future.
