John was born in Sligo and lives in Dun Laoghaire. His work has appeared in The Stinging Fly, Stand, Poetry Ireland Review, Acumen, Force 10, Black Mountain Review and elsewhere. Shortlisted for the Hennessy Award. He is currently preparing a collection of stories.
