i.
we are dinosaurs. winter streetlamps encase us
in amber light, but we think
we’re alive & on fire

ii.
communication –
spaces between spokes
of a bicycle wheel

iii.
you want to come over
& distract each other
into oblivion

iv.
we could lounge around eating Xmas
food & chocolate watching
the TV in our Xmas jumpers & socks

v.
blur my vision
for the future with your presence
in the present

vi.
I want you more than you
know. it’s sweet seeing you depressed
into my couch, my clothes as covers

vii.
we mutilate
moments with
anticipation

viii.
all year long the same way
some folks leave
up their Xmas lights

ix.
let’s leave our hearts
up.
the unglow of rudolph’s nose
