Colin Hassard is a poet, performer and musician from Banbridge, Co. Down. He has twice represented Ulster at the All-Ireland Poetry Slam Final and been poetry champion of the Belfast Book Festival, Belfast Culture Night, and the Belly Laughs Comedy Festival.
Following on from high profile support slots to John Cooper Clarke and Hollie McNish amongst many others, Colin is toured his first solo show Quantum of Sonnets in 2014. His work has been performed on national radio and published in Ulla's Nib, Speech Therapy, Original Zeitgeist and two Community Arts Partnership anthologies.
In 2014, Colin's band Dirty Words released their debut single Wake Up which was a BBC Radio Ulster 'Track of the Day'. Colin works for Sunflowerfest as the manager of the Moot Stage which focuses on promoting the best in local poetry, comedy, story-telling and music.
